Private Lessons
Our private training program is all about creating the dog you want while helping your dog become the best version of themselves. Every session is tailored to you and your dog using food, toys, and social rewards through luring, shaping and activity based exercises. We focus on positive reinforcement and engagement to build healthy, happy, fun and reliable relationships. This service is for dogs of any age and is a great option for behaviour modification.
Board & Train
Our Board & Train Program is designed to do the hard work for you while setting your dog up for long term success at home. We take your lifestyle and goals into account so the transition back home is easier for both the dog and the owner. The training we put in only works if it fits your lifestyle so the program is built around that and tailored to your dog. We focus heavily on the things most owners struggle with or don’t fully understand like teaching dogs how to learn, how to think, how to communicate with people and dogs, how to try and how to work through pressure without shutting down or becoming reactive or aggressive.
Virtual Lessons
Virtual lessons via Zoom or FaceTime offer convenient, real time coaching form the comfort of your home. This service is ideal for those who cannot attend in person private training and also for maintaining or building on training already done.
Each session is personalized with a strong focus on engagement, handling, clear communication and theory which is the "why" behind the training. This is even more important for those who cannot attend privates where so much of the theory occurs.
Sport Foundations
Build the foundation you and your dog need to succeed in dog sports. This class focuses on engagement, motivation and clear communication through markers and creative reward systems. We develop key skills like focused heeling, body and hind end awareness, positioning and drive that transfer into the multiple dog sports that are available on the island. Perfect for dogs and handlers looking to start dog sports or are looking to improve their current skill set.
Group Classes
Group Classes are designed to build reliability and apply your training around distractions in a structured environment. To attend, dogs must first have been enrolled in a private training program and achieved engagement prerequisites OR complete an assessment to ensure the right fit. This allows us to focus on progression, proofing behaviours and real world training as a group.
Assessment
Before beginning any training program, a mandatory assessment is required to ensure the best possible results for you and your dog. Prior to the assessment, you will be asked to submit videos demonstrating your dogs current obedience and engagement skills both on and off leash, with and without the use of rewards. This gives a clear, honest picture of your dogs understanding, desire and reliability of behaviours. There will also be forms and an application to be filled out prior to booking an assessment to give us a deeper understanding of your dog.
During the assessment, we will evaluate your dogs current skill level, behaviour concerns and overall responsiveness to a handler, as well as discuss your goals and expectations. From there a structured training plan will be designed that aligns with your needs, lifestyle and the level of training required to achieve the results you are looking for. This process ensures that every program is tailored, efficient and effectively built for real world success.
